ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal on Saturday reiterated Pakistan’s call for urgent establishment of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to look into the Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.

In a statement as today marks the 70th year since the UN Security Council’s resolution granting the right to self-determination to Kashmiris was adopted, Dr Faisal said that the continuing bloodbath in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and unresolved Kashmir dispute is a collective failure of the world.

“We also reiterate our call for urgent establishment of the OHCHR COI to look into the Indian atrocities in IOK Kashmir bleeds,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

Meanwhile, talking to the State-run Pakistan Television (PTV), Dr Faisal said that Pakistan is highlighting the Kashmir issue at every available forum including the United Nations General Assembly.
