ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Officials of Pakistan and India would meet at Wagah on July 14 (Sunday) to discuss the draft agreement for finalizing the modalities of Kartarpur Corridor, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

In his weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said that the Indian delegation will come to Pakistan for the talks to be held at Wagah.

Dr Faisal told that Pakistan on its part has completed 80 percent work on Kartarpur Corridor while as per the Indian authorities, they have also completed enough work on their side.

Earlier on July 2, Pakistan conveyed to India that the second meeting to discuss the draft agreement for finalizing the modalities of Kartarpur Corridor and related technical issues will be held on July 14 at Wagah.

Dr Faisal said that Pakistan remains committed to expedited progress on the matter to ensure that the Kartarpur Corridor is operationalized in time for the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak in November 2019.

In his briefing, Dr Mohammad Faisal further said that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will give its judgment in Kulbhushan Jadhav Case on July 17. He said that we cannot prejudge the judgment but said Pakistan fully contested the case before the ICJ.

Referring to the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir, the Spokesperson said that Pakistan has welcomed the second report of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights which has once again recognized the grave human rights violations in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.

The Spokesperson said that we also welcome the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights demand for sending a fact finding mission to the occupied territory.
