ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi left for the United Kingdom on Tuesday on a two-day visit, wherein he will participate in an Extraordinary Meeting of the Commonwealth in London, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
The 19th Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers’ Meeting will take place at the Commonwealth Secretariat at Marlborough House in London on July 10, 2019.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi will attend the Commonwealth Meeting at the invitation of his British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
Meanwhile while talking to media in Islamabad before leaving for Britain, the foreign minister said that Pakistan will continue playing its due role in the Commonwealth, a voluntary association of 53 independent and equal sovereign states.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that he will have the opportunity to meet his Counterparts of other Member States of the Commonwealth on the sidelines of the meeting.
The foreign minister said that he will present Pakistan’s report about mandates of 2018.
