ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has expressed the heartfelt condolences at the loss of precious lives in the tragic emergency landing of the Russian airliner, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
At least 41 people were killed on Sunday after a Russian aircraft with 73 passengers and five crew members on board made an emergency landing as its engine caught fire and burst into flames at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport.
The people and Government of Pakistan express their heartfelt condolences at the loss of precious lives and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured in the tragic emergency landing of the Russian airliner.

“We are saddened at the loss of so many precious lives and injuries to several others during an emergency landing by a Russian airliner yesterday,” said a statement issued by the Foreign Office in Islamabad on Monday.
The statement said that the people and the government of Pakistan convey their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
“We stand by the people of the Russian Federation in their hour of grief,” it added.
The casualties occurred when the Sukhoi Superjet-100 en route from Moscow to Murmansk crash-landed shortly after takeoff from the Sheremetyevo Airport. Only 37 people out of 78 survived.
