ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has strongly condemned the horrific bomb attack on a passenger bus in western Afghanistan, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
At least 28 people mainly women and children were killed while 10 received injuries when a passenger bus traveling on the Kandahar-Herat highway hit a roadside bomb in Bala Buluk district of Afghanistan’s western Farah province.
“Our hearts go out to the innocent victims, many of them women and children,” said a statement issued by the Foreign Office in Islamabad. “We pray for the maghfirah of the deceased and extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.”
The Foreign Office said that such inhuman acts of violence against innocent civilians are condemnable. “Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” it reiterated.
The Foreign Office said that the Afghan people deserve complete peace and tranquility in their Country.
It said that Pakistan stands together with the government and people of Afghanistan in the efforts to comprehensively defeat and uproot the scourge of terrorism in our region.
