ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack that struck the diplomatic area of Afghanistan’s Capital Kabul on October 31.
On Tuesday, at least four people were killed and 13 others received injuries when a suicide bomber blew himself up in Central Kabul, near an area housing foreign embassies and government departments.
“We are grieved at the loss of precious lives in this dreadful terrorist attack,” said a statement issued on Wednesday by the Foreign Office in Islamabad.
“We express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” the statement added.
The statement said that Pakistan reiterates its unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations and expresses solidarity with the government and people of Afghanistan in their fight against the menace of terrorism.
“We believe concerted efforts by states, and close cooperation among them, are needed for eliminating the scourge of terrorism,” it further said.
