ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has strongly condemned multiple bombings in the Afghan Capital Kabul on Thursday morning, which killed a total of at least 12 people and wounded dozens of others, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

The first blast targeted a bus carrying government employees in eastern Kabul, in which at least five people were killed and 10 others injured.

The second explosion killed at least seven people and wounded 20 others while the third blast occurred when a car was blown up by unknown militants.

“We express our condolences to the bereaved families and pray for speedy recovery of the injured,” said a statement issued by the Foreign Office in Islamabad.

The statement said that Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

“We express solidarity with the people of Afghanistan. Pakistan will continue to support international efforts to restore complete peace and stability in Afghanistan,” it added.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Taliban claimed responsibility for one of the Kabul blasts but denied involvement in the other two attacks.
