In the IOJ&K, female photojournalist Masrat Zahra and journalist Peerzada Ashiq were booked by the Indian police for uploading some Kashmir-related photographs and covering the viewpoint of the Kashmiri martyrs’ families.

This severely undermines the human rights guarantees of the people of Kashmir and denies the people in India and around the world’s right to know”.

The Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister, through their extensive and sustained outreach to world leaders, have raised awareness of the Hindutva driven policies of the present government in India.
Jammu and Kashmir dispute is an internationally recognized disputed territory which has been reaffirmed repeatedly by the UN Security Council, the UN Secretary General and the OIC.

A systematic campaign remains underway to demonize Muslims, who face further exclusion as well as increasing threat of mob violence. These instances have been extensively documented in the Indian and international media and people of conscience worldwide are raising their voices.
The toxic display of Islamophobia in India has continued throughout this nationalist government’s tenure and has come in to sharper focus with the Covid-19 situation. The hatred being peddled against Muslims in India has real consequences and has already resulted in incidents such as hospitals refusing to treat Muslims.
