ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The visiting OIC Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir Ambassador Yousef M. Al Dobeay visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Tuesday, and met the Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood.

During the meeting, they held a detailed discussion on the deteriorating human rights situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOJ&K).

The OIC Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir accompanied by a six-member delegation is paying a five-day visit to Pakistan from March 2-6, 2020 in the backdrop of India’s unilateral and illegal actions of August 5, 2019 in IOJ&K.

The OIC’s delegation will also visit the Line of Control (LOC) to get first-hand knowledge about the loss of lives and property caused by the indiscriminate firing of the Indian forces.

Meanwhile, the Indian troops martyred 10 Kashmiris last month in fake encounters or in custody in their unabated acts of state terrorism in the Occupied Valley as per the data issued by the Kashmir Media Service (KMS).

In addition to that, 30 people were critically injured due to the use of brute force and firing of teargas shells by the Indian police and paramilitary personnel on peaceful demonstrators.

Separately, the Indian troops have also arrested several Kashmiri youth during crackdown operations and house raids in different areas of the territory, creating an atmosphere of fear and harassment.

However, media outlets and journalists in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir have strictly been ordered to avoid covering any human rights violations.
