ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Sardar Masood Khan will serve as Pakistan’s next Ambassador to the United States.

Responding to media queries regarding the appointment of Sardar Masood Khan as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said that the US government has conveyed its agreement to the appointment of Sardar Masood Khan as the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States.

The Spokesperson said that Masood Khan would assume his responsibilities in Washington D.C. in due course of time.

Masood Khan is a seasoned diplomat who has served Pakistan with distinction and honour.

Previously, he has served as Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations from October 11, 2012 to February 7, 2015 and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China from September 2008 to September 2012.

Masood Khan also served as the 27th President of Azad Kashmir from August 25, 2016 to August 25, 2021.
