ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday presided over a meeting in Islamabad to oversee progress on the preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government Meeting.

The SCO Council of Heads of Government Meeting is scheduled to be held in Islamabad on October 15 and 16, 2024.

In the meeting, the Ishaq Dar instructed the Coordination Committee Members to ensure seamless and timely preparations for a successful Conference.

The October Summit will be preceded by a Ministerial Meeting and several rounds of Senior Officials’ Meetings, focusing on the financial, economic, socio-cultural and humanitarian cooperation among the SCO Member States.

As the Chairmanship of the SCO belongs to Pakistan, Pakistan will be extending invitations to all Heads of Government of SCO Members States in the Summit.
