ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran have mutually agreed that Ambassadors of both Countries may return to their respective posts by January 26, 2024.
The agreement arrived following the telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Jran.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian will also undertake a visit to Pakistan on January 29, 2024 at the invitation of his Pakistani Counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani.
Following the unprovoked violation of its airspace by Iran, Pakistan had recalled its ambassador from Iran and the Irani Ambassador to Pakistan was asked not to return to Islamabad.
Later, the Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani spoke with the Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian on phone on Friday.
During the telephonic conversation, the Foreign Minister Jilani expressed Pakistan’s readiness to work with Iran on all issues based on spirit of mutual trust and cooperation.
Jilani underscored the need for closer cooperation between the two neighboring Countries on security issues.
