Monitoring Desk: High Commissioner of Pakistan Imran Ahmed Siddiqui is visiting Chattogram. During the visit, High Commissioner called on Chairman Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) and Commissioner Customs.

High Commissioner of Pakistan Mr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui is on a two-day visit of Chattogram.

Last evening, the High Commissioner hosted a  dinner in honour of the business community of Chattogram as well as media representatives. In his address, High Commissioner highlighted the common bonds of history, faith, and culture between Pakistan and Bangladesh and briefed the gathering on Pakistan High Commission’s efforts to promote stronger economic relations between the two countries. He invited the Bangladeshi business community to consider the investment opportunities being offered by the connectivity projects in Pakistan including the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The participants thanked the High Commissioner and expressed hoped that Pakistan High Commission will continue such fruitful engagements in the future also.

The High Commissioner also presented the Bangla version of the coffee table Book on Arabic Art Calligraphy to the participants which was widely appreciated.

Referring to announcement of Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, Ukrinform reports that Czech Republic will continue to provide support to Ukraine to repel and stop Russian aggression. "As you know, my country has launched an initiative on ammunition. By the end of the year, 500,000 large-caliber shells will be delivered. We will not stop there.
