ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia & Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic has called for the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in the light of the UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
In a meeting with the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Wednesday, the Bosnian president said that human rights should be respected in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Sefik Dzaferovic said that Pakistan and Bosnia enjoy close relations and his visit will further strengthen bilateral relations.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi briefed the Bosnian president about the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and appreciated his statement on the occupied territory.
The foreign minister said that both Pakistan and Bosnia & Herzegovina have always stood by each other in difficult times.
Qureshi said that Pakistan desires to expand relations with Bosnia in different fields including bilateral trade, education, culture, and people to people contacts.
The foreign minister said that high-level exchanges will further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic has arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
The Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul along with other officials received the Bosnian president.
Sefik Dzaferovic is accompanied by a high-level delegation including the Minister for Security as well as Presidential Advisers.
