ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that all the Regional Countries are concerned over the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government in India.

While addressing a News Conference in Islamabad on Monday, the foreign minister regretted that the Indian government has made the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) forum dysfunctional.

Qureshi said that the Hindutva mindset of the Indian government poses a threat to regional peace and security.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi also regretted that regardless of the breakout of COVID-19, the Indian government has not shown any flexibility in its persecution campaign in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the Indian government continues to target the innocent Kashmiri population in the search and cordon operations.

The foreign minister said that we have written several letters to the United Nations highlighting the atrocities unleashed against the innocent Kashmiri people by the Indian troops. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan has always respected the UN Security Council's resolutions but the Indian side has never accorded any respect to them. Qureshi said that reports of the UN Human Rights Commissioner speak volumes about the blatant human rights violations being committed in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K). He said that the world should take notice of the situation in IOJ&K. Furthermore, he pointed out that a discriminatory attitude is being meted out to the Muslim population in India. He said that the massacre of Muslims in New Delhi has been reported by the world media.
