ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) Usman Mubin has said that since the launch of the e-visa facility, a total of 1,946 visa applications have been received online.

Briefing the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi about the online visa facility in Islamabad on Friday, the Chairman NADRA told that out of 1,946 visa applications, 1,152 applicants have been issued visas and 560 applications are under process.

Usman Mubin also told that 95 visa applicants have been rejected on the basis of different technical reasons.1,946 visa applications received since launch of e-visa facility, FM told

The Chairman NADRA also apprised the foreign minister that online facility has become operational in all the Pakistani Missions.

In his remarks, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that successful launch of e-visa facility is a big achievement of the Pakisan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

The foreign minister said that the e-visa facility has been introduced to issue visas timely and transparently. He said that the difficulties in getting visas can be overcome through online visa facility.
