Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to lead in the relief and rescue of Pakistanis in Sudan.

By April 25, a total of 700 Pakistanis had been evacuated safely from Sudan wherein conflict erupted as a result of a vicious power struggle within the Country’s military leadership.

The Pakistan Mission in Khartoum and Port Sudan are working day and night to facilitate the stay of Pakistanis who are still in Sudan until their evacuation to Pakistan.

The Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that we remain engaged with friendly Countries in the region especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to facilitate this process.

Earlier on April 20, in her media briefing, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that “We continue to follow the worrying developments in Sudan and are closely monitoring the safety and security of the Pakistani community there.”

“Our Embassy in Sudan remains in close and constant contact with our community and will continue to facilitate them,” she said.
