ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In total, 100 flights from worldwide including 43 from just United Arab Emirates (UAE) alone carrying humanitarian assistance have arrived in flood-stricken Pakistan by September 15.

The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said that in continuation of humanitarian air bridge established between Pakistan and UAE, two relief flights from UAE scheduled for today (September 15) were received at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

The Spokesperson said that a total of 43 flights from UAE have landed in Pakistan carrying food, medical supplies and tents etc.

“Pakistan is thankful to the government and people of UAE for their continuous support for the people of Pakistan in these times of grave crisis,” he said.

Meanwhile, apart from 43 flights from UAE, 15 humanitarian assistance flights have reached Pakistan from the United States, 13 from Turkiye, 4 from China, 4 from Qatar, 2 from Saudi Arabia, and 1 each from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, 1 Nepal, Jordan, and France.

Likewise, 9 flights have so far landed in Pakistan from UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), 3 from World Food Programme (WFP), and 2 from United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
