In a statement, the information minister also asked that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to cooperate in providing security to marchers.

Gujranwala situation under control: Mashood

The Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashood has said that the situation is under control in Gujranwala after the deployment of more police personnel there.

His statement came after a clash broke out between the workers of the PTI and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) in the city.

The media reports said that the PML-N workers allegedly attacked the PTI’s Azadi march when it was passing through Gujranwala on Friday morning and injured many PTI workers. The reports said that the PML-N workers also fired gunshots at Imran Khan’s containers.
