ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday kicked off 75th anniversary celebrations of Pakistan’s independence by inaugurating a Mango Festival in Islamabad on Friday.

In his remarks, the foreign minister said that Pakistani mangoes are the best and the sweetest ones in the world.

   

“The mangoes of Pakistan are the best in the world and we would want this treasure of Pakistan to be going across the world so that the people enjoy it,” he remarked.

The foreign minister called for working together with international community to ensure that all citizens of the global community can have access to this treasure of Pakistani mangoes.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan produces over 200 varieties of mangoes. Various mango varieties including Chanusa, Sindhri, Anwar Ratol, and Dussehri, were displayed on the festival.

A large number of members of the Diplomatic Community in Islamabad attended the event.
