Five Afghan soldiers killed in NATO airstrike

KABUL: An airstrike was carried out by NATO in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Logar on Thursday, killing at least five National Army soldiers and injuring 17 others.

An unnamed provincial government official said that the strike was carried out at around 2am local time on Thursday. He said that the government officials are discussing how to respond and conduct further investigation into the incident.

There was no immediate response from NATO about the attack.
