QUETTA, Pakistan: Two people including a woman and a child were killed while seven further suffered injuries as a result of firing and landmine explosion in Dera Bugti District of Balochistan on Thursday morning.

Levies sources said that unknown armed men entered a House of a person named Gujjar in Toba Nohkani area of Dera Bugti, and began indiscriminate firing.

Resultantly, six persons including Gujjar’s two wives and three children were killed, and four other persons were injured.

Later, when the dead bodies and injured were being taken to a hospital, the vehicle hit a landmine blast, causing death of another person.

Soon after the firing incident in Toba Nohkani area, one of most sensitive areas of Dera Bugti, Police and Levies personnel reached the site and initiated an investigation into the incident.
