CHAKWAL, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the government is not oblivious to its responsibilities and is working with good intent to pull the country out of all crises.

   

In his address after performing ground breaking of two road schemes costing Rs9 billion in Chakwal on Wednesday, the prime minister vowed to purge the country of all crimes including terrorism and gear up the pace of development in the next four years.

The prime minister said that the present government has launched unprecedented development projects including energy and infrastructure in the last one year. He said that several more projects will be launched in the times to come to bring positive change in the lives of common man.

Earlier, Sharif laid the foundation-stone of 130 kilometer Mandra- Chakwal and Sohawa- Chakwal double roads. Both roads will be completed in one and a half years’ time with total cost of over Rs8.5 billion.

The 66 kilometer Sohawa- Chakwal road will be completed with Rs4.34 billion while 63 Mandra- Chakwal road will be completed with Rs4.25 billion.

The prime minister also gave approval for construction of 10 kilometer Northern Bypass.
