Federal govt aims to achieve six per cent growth rate till 2018: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has set the target to achieve six per cent growth rate till 2018, the minister for planning and development Ahsan Iqbal told the federal cabinet in Islamabad on Thursday.

The minister said that his ministry since inception of the government focused on preparing Vision 2025. He said that Vision 2025 was finalized after consultation with all relevant quarters and analyzing the development plans of developed nations.

Ahsan Iqbal said that implementation of the Vision 2025 is key priority of the ministry of planning and development. He said that a monitoring and delivery unit has been formed for this purpose.

Iqbal emphasized the need for enhancing development fund to gear up the growth rate as well as transfer the fruits of development to the common man.
