When it comes to choosing a good Android phone in the mid-price range, customers usually just find themselves overwhelmed with the myriad of choices out there. Most of the choices lack in one department or another which is why a certain amount of compromise has to be made. However, there are some devices that do stand over the rest thanks to their top of the line hardware and a couple of redeeming features that really make them worth it for the consumer; Lenovo’s Zuk Z1 is a prime example of such a device.

At a first glance the ZUK Z1 might not really stand out all that much as it has that traditional smartphone look but that all changes once you hold it in your hands. Thanks to the phone’s metallic frame and crisp finish, you just can’t help but appreciate the smartphone you hold albeit a little.

The Zuk Z1 packs a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS screen that is powered by the infamous and extremely reliable Qualcomm 801 chipset and 3GB of RAM. The device also features a 13 megapixel rear camera that is capable of recording 1080p videos as well as an 8 megapixel front camera and a finger print scanner that is thrown in for that extra touch of personalized security. While all of these may very well be great features for any mid ranged Android device, the phone’s redeeming feature lies in its 4100mAh battery that promises any Android user a great experience, irrespective of their phone usage, a good wholesome day of fun without having to charge their phone over and over again. Of course the device does lack NFC and the traditionalized microSD slot but the facts that most people don’t really utilize NFC to begin with and that the phone offers 64GB of built in storage really make the aforementioned a non issue.lenovo-zuk-z1-cheezmall-2-768x576

All in all, the Zuk Z1 doesn’t really go for anything flashy but rather opts for the tested and tried features in both their hardware and OS choices (cyanogenmod 5.1), making the device a really sturdy choice for anyone who don’t really want to deal with the trouble of having a new headache every day. So, if you’re looking for a solid, good performing device that doesn’t die out on you during the day, I highly recommend that you think about giving the Zuk Z1 a try.
