ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the writ of the state will be enforced at any cost, and those elements who challenge the writ will be dealt with full force.

In a press conference after a meeting of national apex committee was held in Islamabad on Thursday to review progress on implementation of 20-point anti-terror National Action Plan (NAP), Nisar said that those who try to defame Islam will be taken to task with cooperation of the Ulema, the media and the civil society.

Nisar told that the meeting expressed satisfaction over progress in implementation on 15 points of the NAP, and decided to bring momentum in implementation on the other five points relating to different areas including Afghan refugees.

Earlier address the meeting of the NAP, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif stressed the need for implementing all points of the anti-terror plan with a joint approach to eliminate terrorism.

The prime minister said that all state institutions will have to remain on same page to expedite activities against terrorists and corrupt elements. He said collective wisdom must prevail while taking decisions for making a total success all points of the national action plan.

Sharif said that all agencies will have to remain vigilant besides improving their capacity to overcome the menace of terrorism.

“It is our collective responsibility to join hands for complete success of the plan,” he said.

The meeting was attended by the provincial governors, chief ministers, AJK Prime Minister Abdul Majeed, the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, heads of intelligence agencies and the Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
