Western Disturbance is a blessing for Pakistan as well as for India as it causes early winter through rainfall across northwest India. Winter months rainfall has great importance in agriculture, particularly for the Rabi crops. October is known for western disturbance but it is more useful when it arrives in September like this year. During the season, normally 4-5 western disturbances in a month can be seen over northeast of Pakistan and some of the western disturbances bring well-distributed and good rainfall and thunderstorms that help to break summer heat wave.

Western disturbance is known for beautiful weathers as it is usually associated with cloudy sky, cool night temperatures, unusual rain  and brings cold wave conditions and occasionally dense fog and cold day conditions. These conditions remain stable until it is disturbed by another Western Disturbances. It is expected that ongoing western disturbance will bring early winter as unexpected snowfall is already recorded in Swat Valley.
