ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Citizens aged 40 and above, having registered themselves, will be able to walk into any Vaccination Center from Wednesday (May 12, 2021) onwards to get inoculated against COVID-19.
“Starting tomorrow the 12th of May all 40 plus who have registered will be able to walk into any vaccination center of their choice and get vaccinated,” the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said in a Tweet on Tuesday.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) opened up the registration of Citizens of over 40 years for the COVID-19 vaccination program on May 27, 2021.
Asad Umar also said that Vaccination Centres across the Country are open and they will be closed only for two days on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
“Please note that vaccination centres are open and will only be closing for two days on Eid,” he wrote.
Reason why we are opening vaccination based on age in descending order is due to finite availability of vaccines globally, as well as vaccination capacity in the country. Both supply of vaccines and vaccination capacity are continuously increasing with concerted efforts.
