The Voice of Taliban —We have nothing to do with attack on Raza Rumi in Lahore. It is the state’s responsibility to protect media houses and journalists.

The Voice of Taliban — We have promise with Peace Committee therefore, we religiously follow and maintain one month ceasefire.

Followings are viewpoints of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) supported elements and we are sharing their viewpoint with our readers. This viewpoint indicates that TTP is not involved in attack on television anchor Raza Rumi and killing his driver but TTP is not responsible for the deed of any other group that can considered viewpoints Raza Rumi is expressing on Express News as offensive and can take action against him because he has been defaming the soldiers of Allah since long calling them terrorists.

The Voice of Taliban is as follow:

TTP has given commitment to Maulana Samiul Haq and with friendly brother Muslim country that TTP will not use gun power till April 1, 2014 against State of Pakistan and TTP believes that the government of Pakistan and Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif will reach a lasting peace contract with TTP under the guidelines provided by a friendly Muslim country to both stakeholders (TTP and Mian Nawaz Sharif).

TTP is not in hurry to use force and it has no connection with recent incident of terrorism that took place in Lahore against an anchor person. TTP also appreciates Express News administration that refrained from accusing TTP or using its name as culprit during its all reporting and special transmission.

TTP is not responsible for the deed of any other group that can considered viewpoints Raza Rumi is expressing on Express News as offensive and can take action against him because he has been defaming the soldiers of Allah since long calling them terrorists.

This is responsibility of law enforcing agencies to protect people of Pakistan. Yes if government of Pakistan officially designates TTP to protect citizens of Pakistan, TTP will do its best to protect the citizens of Pakistan as it has resources, potential and expertise to protect the state of Pakistan. TTP has been time and again telling cadres of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif that states should accept TTP as an important component of state of Pakistan and it can protect Pakistan from enemies within the country and abroad.

TTP believes that time is not far when it will get its due role and share within the state of Pakistan and on-going peace talks will bear fruit of lasting peace in the country and TTP will be designated to protect the western borders of Pakistan.
