Video message of Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman
Islamabad, Pakistan: In a video recorded message, Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman explained how he was captured when he landed inside Pakistan after his Mig21 was shot down by Pakistan Air Force.
Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was born on June 21 and married his colleague Tanvi Marwaha who reited from Indian Air Force as Squadron Leader. They have one son.
Father of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman is also veteran of Indian Air Force and served as AOC-in-C of the Eastern Air Command on August 1, 2011. He joined the IAF as a fighter pilot in 1973. His service number in Indian Air Force is 27981 and he belongs to Chennai.
Video was recorded before Pakistan handed him to Indian authorities as goodwill gesture to defuse extreme tention at Indo-Pak borders.
It may be mentioned that Wing Commander Abhinandan left for India through Wagah Border on Friday after Pakistani Official handed him over to Indian authorities, a day after Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to release him as a peace gesture, reports DND News Agency through Lahore correspondent.
The Indian Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan was received by a team of IAF at the Wagah-Attari border. Earlier he was transported to Wagah Border amid tight security, wherein he underwent a medical checkup.
