US national taken into custody at Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A US national was taken into custody at the Benazir International Airport in Islamabad on Thursday night on recovery of pistols, magazines and bullets from his luggage.

The airport sources said that the US citizen identified as William Jones was travelling from Islamabad to the United States via Abu Dhabi.

The Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel detained the US citizen after 9mm pistols with magazines and 15 bullets were recovered from him during baggage checking.

The police was interrogating William Jones.

The sources said that the suspect was serving as a trainee in the US embassy.
