RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Commander Resolute Support Mission (RSM) and United States Forces in Afghanistan General John Nicholson has confirmed the death of Umar Narai alias Khalifa Umar also alias Khalid Khurasani in a recent done strike in Afghanistan.
In a twitter message on Wednesday evening, the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt General Asim Saleem Bajwa told this, saying that the Commander RSM called the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and confirmed death of terrorist Umar Narai.

Umar Narai was the alleged mastermind of the massacre carried out at the Peshawar’s Army Public School (APS) on December 16, 2014 in which nearly 150 innocent children were killed.
Umar Narai was killed along with another militant leader Qari Saifullah in the US drone strike conducted in the Bandar area of Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province last Saturday.
General Raheel condemns Indian brutal killings of innocent Kashmiri youth
Separately in a Corps Commanders Conference held at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif condemned Indian brutal killings of innocent Kashmiri youth.
The forum took an in-depth review of internal security situation and discussed professional matters. The external security situation was discussed with particular emphasis on situation in Afghanistan.
To scrutinize cross border movement and ensure strict check on terrorist’s movement, the forum also reviewed progress of measures being taken for effective border management.
In his remarks during the conference, the COAS reiterated that the world needs to recognize the aspirations of Kashmiri people, their struggle for freedom and help resolve the long standing dispute for lasting amity in Kashmir and enduring peace in the region.
The army chief appreciated the relentless efforts of intelligence and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) towards ensuring peace and security during Eid days in the face of numerous threats.
