Two killed, two injured as gas pipeline explodes in Ghotki

GHOTKI: A 36-inch gas pipeline caught fire due to gas leakage in the Mir Kosh area of Ghotki district in Sindh province in the wee hours of Wednesday, leading to an explosion and killing at least two persons and injuring two others.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, while according to police the incident was not an act of terrorism and occurred due to leakage of gas.

The supply of gas was suspended to various cities and towns of Punjab after the pipeline explosion.
