Treason case: Special Court upholds judgment about Musharraf appearance

ISLAMABAD: The special court formed to try the former President Pervez Musharraf for high treason has upheld its judgment about appearance of the former president in the court on Friday.

A three-member bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab and comprising Justice Tahira Safdar and Justice Yawar Ali resumed hearing the treason case against Musharraf in Islamabad on Thursday.

During the proceedings, Musharraf’s counsel Anwar Mansoor said that he could not give arguments on the petition owing to sickness. He said that the doctors had suggested him for rest for few days as he was diagnosed with food poisoning.

Justice Faisal Arab remarked that the order to produce Musharraf in the court on March 14 remained intact and adjourned the hearing of the case till tomorrow (Friday).
