ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Magistrate Islamabad granted 2-day transit remand of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf this morning.

The residence of former President at Chak Shahzad was also declared a sub-jail.

Earlier‚ Pervez Musharraf was arrested this morning and produced before a Judicial Magistrate.

Meanwhile‚ the hearing of a case pertaining to Pervez Musharraf’s fleeing from the Islamabad High Court is in progress. The IGP Islamabad appeared before the court. The court expressed its displeasure over the non-compliance of its orders regarding the arrest of the former President.

The Islamabad High Court after rejecting the bail application of Pervez Musharraf yesterday ordered his arrest.

The spokesman of Chief Commissioner Islamabad has said that the residence of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf has not yet been declared a sub-jail as the office has not received any such directives.
