SIALKOT, Pakistan: Charge d’ Affairs/Ambassador of Sudan to Pakistan Ahmed Abdul Rehman Muhammad has said Sudan was keen to increase mutual trade volume with Pakistan.

He said the mutual trade between Pakistan and Sudan will increase day by day in future due to positive, effective and sincere efforts of the both sides.

He said this while addressing a meeting at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here Saturday.

Acting SCCI President Muhammad Sarfraz Butt presided over the meeting.

The envoy said economic, industrial, agricultural, scientific and technological development achieved by Pakistan made Sudan more keen and serious to get maximum use of its experience in these fields.

The envoy announced the same day business visas issuance to the Sialkot exporters on the recommendations of the SCCI.

He invited delegations of Sialkot exporters to visit Sudan and ensure their maximum participation in the international trade fairs and exhibition for taping the untapped trade potential of Sudan as well.

Addressing the meeting, Acting President of SCCI Muhammad Sarfraz Butt said there was a huge scope for quality products of Sialkot to be exported to Sudan.

He firmly believed that:” We can increase the volume by creating strong connections between business communities of the two countries.”

Earlier, the envoy visited several leading industrial units and highly hailed the international standard craftsmanship of Sialkot based artisans.
