BAHAWALPUR, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said that stability is returning in the country as a result of ongoing military operations launched last year in the volatile tribal region against various outlawed militant outfits.
In his address to officers at Bahawalpur cantt on Tuesday, the army chief said that they can’t take focus away from targeting terrorism in the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).
The COAS said that they were breaking linkages of terrorists in rest of the country.
The army chief paid tributes to resilience, professionalism and sacrifices of troops during ongoing fight against terrorism.
