The election of the Speakers and Deputy Speakers of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies are being held this morining.

The election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly is being held in Karachi this morning.

The PPP has nominated Aga Siraj Durrani for the office of the Speaker and Syeda Shehla Raza for the Deputy Speaker.

MQM’s Khawaja Izharul Haq is competing for Speaker and Heer Ismail Soho for Deputy Speaker.

Similarly‚ Irfanullah Marwat of PML-N is contesting for Speaker and Ms.Busrat Bano Sehar Abbasi of PML-F for Deputy Speaker.

On the other hand‚ the election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa is also being held in Peshawar today.

A meeting of the parliamentary committee of Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf was held in which they formally nominated Asad Qaiser for Speaker and Imtaiz Qureshi for Deputy Speaker.

The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister-designate and Central Secretary General of PTI Pervez Khan Khattak.

Meanwhile‚ the election for Leader of the House (Chief Minister) in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Assembly would be held tomorrow.
