Sindh government to block Mobile Sims of unvaccinated people

KARACHI, Pakistan: Taking a strict action against those who haven’t vaccinated themselves against COVID-19, the Sindh government has decided to block Mobile Sims of such people.

In a Twitter statement on Friday, the Sindh Chief Minister’s Advisor Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui told that the provincial government has decided to write to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) that Mobile Sims of the unvaccinated people should be blocked.

As of now, Sindh remains the highest affected province in terms of the highest number of Coronavirus Cases.

To date, the Sindh province has reported a total of 362,182 Cases followed by Punjab which has registered 351,707 Cases. However, Punjab with 10,909 COVID deaths has suffered almost double fatalities than Sindh’s 5,785.

Following a day’s break owing to the Eid-ul-Azha holiday, the Vaccination Centers reopened across the Country from July 22.

With 180,279 more doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered on July 22, now the total number of people having been vaccinated in the Country has reached 24,548,441.

Meanwhile, 1,425 new infections and 11 deaths were reported across the Country in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 positivity ratio remained 5.65%.
