Shahbaz lambasts Imran, Qadri over sit-ins

LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has severely criticized Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri for staging sit-ins in the federal capital, saying it led to cancellation of several important visits of foreign dignitaries including that of the Chinese president.

Talking to a delegation of assembly members in Lahore, Shahbaz said that time for the sit-ins was selected under a conspiracy when historic packages worth billions of dollars with China were to be given final shape.

Shahbaz said that Pakistan-China agreements and power projects were the real target of Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri, adding that the nation will never forgive those who inflicted losses of billions of dollars to Pakistan through the London Plan.

The chief minister said that every Pakistani is shocked and surprised over celebrating Jashan by Imran Khan and his supporters in the present situation when a large segment of the population is hit by devastating floods.
