QUETTA: Security forces killed two alleged kidnappers and arrested three others in a search operation carried out for a kidnapped doctor and a director of non-governmental organization (NGO) in Balochistan province’s Qila Abdullah district on Saturday.

A security person was also killed and another was injured during the operation conducted by anti-terrorist force, police and Levies force for the recovery of abducted, Dr Munaf Tareen and Noor Muhammad, director of an NGO. However, both could not be recovered.

The cardiologist Dr Munaf Tareen was abducted on September 18 when he was on his way to his house from his private hospital at Pishin Stop. Since then, the doctors in Balochistan are observing strike, causing an inconvenience to patients.
