ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned hearing of former President (Retd) Gen Pervez Musharraf’s escape case till next week.

Earlier‚ Secretary Interior Javed Iqbal appeared before the court.

He apprised the court that IG Islamabad is officer of grade 21 and only Prime Minister can take action against him.

He added that the matter has been referred to the Ministry of Law and Justice for its opinion.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui observed that ICT police comes under Ministry of Interior.

He said action should also be taken against those who facilitated Musharraf in escape.

He said the Prime Minister or a secretary has no powers to seek opinion on court’s orders.
