SC orders to freeze accounts of DHA Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has directed to freeze accounts of Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Rawalpindi till payment of 22 billion rupees to Employees Old Age Benefit Institution in a hearing of EOBI embezzlement case.

The court also ordered to submit details of its accounts in the Registrar’s Office of Supreme Court.

Earlier the apex court had directed DHA to deposit 22 billion rupees in EOBI account‚ which was disobeyed. The court also placed a ban on DHA to open new bank account.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case.
