ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) Akhtar Buland Rana to evolve mechanism for transparent audit of secret funds.
In its detailed verdict in Media Commission Case given on Tuesday, the court noted that the existing mechanism of audit of funds is not transparent.
It said audit of secret funds is imperative for elimination of irregularities.
The twenty-page judgment said funds should be utilized from the national exchequer in a transparent manner.
