SC expresses dissatisfaction on Islamabad courts attack reports

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday expressed its dissatisfaction on the reports submitted by Inspector General and Chief Commissioner about the attack on Islamabad district courts and ordered for setting up an inquiry committee.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani was hearing the suo motu case of attack on the district courts in F-8 area of Islamabad on March 3 that left at least 11 persons including additional session judge Rafaqat Awan killed.

During the proceedings, the apex court expressed its dissatisfaction on the Inspector General and Chief Commissioner’s reports about the attack on Islamabad district courts and ordered for setting up an inquiry committee independent of the influence of the city police.
