ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has directed the government to submit a written reply regarding the review by Friday.

The three judges bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry adjourned the hearing of suo moto case regarding load-shedding till Friday.

The government has expressed readiness to review hike in power tariff.

Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif informed the Supreme Court about the government’s decision on Wednesday.

Khawaja Asif also informed the court that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah are meeting today to discuss the issue of the appointment of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
