Rashid calls for avoiding irresponsible statements about peace talks

LAHORE: The federal minister for information Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday called for avoiding irresponsible statements about the ongoing talks between the government and Taliban dialogue committees as these are meant to establish peace and to put the country on the track of development and progress.

Talking to media persons in Lahore on Saturday‚ the minister said that speculative media reports and rhetoric among different sections may influence or affect the dialogue process.

The information minister said that both the dialogue committees should be allowed to work independently.
