KARACHI: Rangers personnel carried out a search operation in various areas of Lyari and also raided the house of banned Peoples Aman Committee (PAC) leader Uzair Baloch on Saturday.

However, no arrest was made. The areas where operation was conducted included Nawa Lane, Afshani Gali, Cheel Chowk, Kala Kot and Chakewara.

Similarly, targeted search operations were also in conducted in different areas during which 28 accused were arrested. Police arrested two accused from Baldia Town and recovered arms from their possession.

Moreover, as many as 18 suspects including 12 absconders were arrested in an operation launched in Defence, Mehmoodabad and Baloch Colony areas of the metropolis.

During the operation, arms, drugs and liquor were also recovered from their possession. In another raid, eight gamblers were also arrested from Garden area.
