Kiev:  The president of Russia Vladimir Putin believes that the Ukrainian economy can get competitive advantages only at association from the Russian. He is of the view that Russia will respect any choice of Ukraine whether it joins Integration project of Russia or not.

“Today there is very intense competitive fight in the world markets for these markets. It is sure that the vast majority present here understands that, only combining efforts, we can be competitive and win in this, rather rigid, competitive fight. Thus we have all bases to believe that we can and have to make it” — Putin maintained while speaking at the conference devoted to a civilization choice of Ukraine. He reached Kiev on July 27.

He indicated the current economic indicators on the former Soviet Union which, according to him, speak for themselves.

 

“In the first quarter of this year at us commodity turnover with Ukraine fell to more than 17 per cent. In the countries of the Customs union he in a year before last grew by 34%, in the past — for 11%, and in the first quarter of this year at us growth made already 2-3%, despite recession in world economy. We have a continuous lifting” — Putin said.

Putin believes that the future of the economic relations of Russia and Ukraine depends on that, “as we will agree about collaboration on absolutely equal, honest, clear and transparent conditions”.

The Russian president spoke plans of cooperation with Ukraine in Kiev where together with presidents of several countries and nine patriarchs on occasion of celebration of the 1025 anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus’
