PTI will not sit with MQM at any forum: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has announced that his part will not sit with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) at any forum.

In his address at a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, Imran Khan also said that he will take the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain in court in London.

A joint investigation team (JIT) submitted by Rangers in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday claimed that the MQM was involved in the deadly fire that left at least 258 Baldia Town Factory workers dead in 2012.

In its report, the JIT revealed that the Ali Enterprises garment factory in Baldia Town was set on fire for not paying extortion money.

Imran Khan said that the accusations against the MQM are very serious and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should take action on the matter.

“It is responsibility of the prime minister to take action on the JIT report,” Imran Khan said.

The PTI chief also called upon the MQM to separate itself from armed persons and Altaf Hussain.

Imran’s speech a conspiracy to disturb Karachi peace: MQM

Later addressing a new conference, the MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said that the party condemns and rejects every allegation leveled by Imran Khan’ in his news conference.

The MQM leader said that Imran Khan’s speech is a conspiracy to disturb peace of Karachi.

“Today is the darkest day in the history of Pakistan, every worker of MQM is hurt,” Rizvi said.

Haider Abbas Rizvi said that the PTI never condemns acts of the Taliban but actually acting as their political wing.
